The Gap We Saw
Yet the loungewear we reach for in these personal moments has too often been an afterthought — functional, uninspired, forgettable.
We imagined something different: loungewear that honours the stories we carry. Soft enough for stillness, beautiful enough for expression, thoughtful enough to make the everyday feel a little more special.
A Name Born from Exploration
Our founder, Teshima Sarawagi, felt this gap in her own journey. She found the name in periplum — a word coined by poet Ezra Pound to describe a way of navigating the world not by fixed charts, but by intuition, reason, and experience. A journey where the path reveals itself as you go.
Peri Plum is a celebration of that continuous discovery — a brand where loungewear could be more than fabric. A storyteller. A muse. A tactile reflection of the journeys that shape us, inward and out.
Made for the Moments Between
Every Peri Plum piece is woven from Lotus Silk — a rare fibre drawn by hand from the stem of the lotus flower. Each stem is carefully opened and its fine threads gently drawn, twisted and spun by artisans. The result is a fabric that is soft, breathable and naturally luminous, with a quiet beauty that feels as considered as the journey that inspired it.
It is a fitting material for Peri Plum: a fibre that cannot be rushed, only coaxed, one stem at a time.
